Levitra is a product of GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with Bayer. In US Levitra was approved for sale in April, 2003 and it hit the stores in August. Ever since its approval Levitra has been gaining grounds in the ED Drug market.
Levitra also belongs to the category ED drugs that inhibit PDE-5 enzymes thus pumping more blood towards penis.
Levitra is known to react faster than Viagra. Men get erection in as little as 16-minutes, which is why Levitra is also dubbed as ‘ sex-in-16-minute.’ Due to its prompt reaction and long time affects – Levitra is been tipped as a better medication than Viagra by analysts.

Side effects of Viagra are more or less the same as other ED Drugs. Though, manufacturer maintains that Levitra produced lesser side effects during the clinical trials.

Levitra is an oral consumption taken about 30 minutes to one hour before getting ready for sexual act. One must take Levitra only as directed, which is usually once in a day. The drug works along with sexual stimulation to help achieve penis erection.
One should diagnose the complete medical history and examinations to determine the cause of his impotence before adapting Levitra medication. Men who have medical conditions that may cause a sustained erection such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia or multiple myeloma or who have an abnormally shaped penis may not be allowed to use Levitra. Several medications are known to interact adversely with Levitra. Ensure that you to tell the doctor about all medications you are taking including those you can get without a prescription.
Levitra has not been studied with other treatments for impotence, so its use in combination with other treatments is not recommended. Moreover limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate side effects of Levitra. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Older men may be more sensitive to the side effects of Levitra; therefore, caution is advised to this particular age-group of men.
